Passport to Mainstreaming Gender in Water Programmes. Key questions for interventions in the agricultural sector (2012)

The Passport was developed for field staff involved in the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of water management projects for agricultural production; technicians and agents in local irrigation and extension services, NGOs and local government employees who work at field level, carry out the assessment of the local situation and have contact and negotiate with stakeholders using available water sources. It is a practical tool, designed for the rapid identification of the main gender-related problems and gaps that require attention during the design, implementation and monitoring of a agricultural water project or programme. It can also be used to identify gender aspects of existing problems in operational projects and provide inputs for improvements.
