Gender, Water and Integrity
This conference ran from 26 March to 13 May 2007 in English and Spanish and discussed the following three topics: 1. Corruption in the water sectors: different impact on women and men, and different integrity practices. 2. Good practices of breaking with corruption in the water sectors, cases. 3. Suggestions and strategies for formulating a policy paper on Gender, Water and Integrity. The background paper, intorduction to the three topics as well as a summary of the discussion of every topic can be found here.
Gender Mainstreaming in Water Management for Agriculture
This e-conference concerned the "why" and "how" of gender mainstreaming in water management in agriculture, and was held as part of the programme "Effective gender mainstreaming in water management for sustainable livelyhoods: From guidelines to practice". The results of the E-conference were shared at the 4th World Water Forum in Mexico in March 2006 and also served as an input for the "Minimum Agenda on Mainstreaming Gender for Researchers, Practicioners and Gender Experts." Here you find the invitation letter and all messages posted for the conference.
Successes and Failures in Gender Mainstreaming in Integrated Water Resources Management
The electronic conference series "Successes and Failures in Gender Mainstreaming in Integrated Water Resources Management" aimed to collect, share and analyse information on the successes and failures in the practice of mainstreaming gender in order to make recommendations for improving practice. The results of the e-conference series are a basis for continued discussions and promotion of Gender Mainstreaming in IWRM in the sector.
