GWA attends Cap-Net managers meeting 2007
Esther de Jong, Programme Officer of GWA, attended the Cap-Net managers meeting which took place in Paraty, Brazil, from 3-7 December 2007. She presented the strategic plan 2006-2010 of GWA and focussed on possibilities for cooperation between both networks. Many useful contacts have been made and reinforced between GWA and the regional Cap-Net organisations.

File GWA ensures the integration of gender issues in national training on IWRM in Rwanda, July 2008
GWA ensures the integration of gender issues in national training on IWRM in Rwanda, July 2008 The national training workshop on Concepts and Principles of IWRM took place in Rwanda from 14th to 18th July 2008. It was organised by the Rwanda Chapter of Nile IWRM-Net and hosted by the Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) in close collaboration with the Rwanda Ministry of Natural Resources. The implementation was made possible with financial support and human resources contributions from Cap-Net, GWA and SNV-Rwanda. GWA was invited to include and facilitate gender mainstreaming issues related to IWRM and its stakeholders. 27 participants from Rwanda and 2 from Burundi participated in the training. On March 15, 2012 GWA members and interested partners met at the sixth world water forum in Marseille, France, to discuss the current situation of GWA, and exchanged information on the gender and water activities of those present. GWA members meeting held at LATINOSAN 2007
The Gender and Water Alliance wanted to take advantage of the attendance by many of its members of the LATINOSAN 2007 conference, and organised a meeting for GWA members from the Latin American and Caribbean region. This meeting took place on 11th of November 2007 in Cali, Colombia and was attended by around 30 members of the Alliance.
