GWA represented by member Anthony Akpan at UN Environment Programme
SInce May 2015 GWA is represented by its member Anthony Akpan, president of the Pan African Vision for the Environment (PAVE) from Nigeria, in the advisory group for the UNEA-2 Marine Litter Study. In this capacity mr. Akpan attended a meeting which took place from 8-10 December 2015, which was hosted by UNEP. In this meeting the group discussed the Marine Litter Study and Mr. Akpan called for the inclusion of key gender issues in this study, which wil be presented during the UNEA-2 conference in May 2016.
