South Asian Chapter of Travelling Exhibit
The first version of the South Asian chapter of the Travelling Exhibit which was develped in cooperation with the Centre for Environment Education, Ahmedabad, India, was launched at World Water Week in Stockholm, Sweden in August 2008.
It consists of 7 panels with text in English and Hindi and is available in a digital format, just like the African chapter. From this first version local versions were made for Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and Shri Lanka by translating the panels in the local languages (Bangla, Nepali, Urdu and Sinhala) and developing a so-called "country panel" showing the main national issues in gender and water.
Since its beginning the exhibit has been displayed in Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the United Kingdom, and it was on show at the fifth World Water Forum in March 2009, Turkey.
